I've been building The Daily Smark since 2018. It started as a simple news aggregator, a single place to pull in wrestling headlines, and it kept evolving over and over from there. What began as a plain river of news grew into a podcast list, and eventually into the full mobile app that anyone can download today.
I've been hooked since I watched Razor Ramon face The 1-2-3 Kid on Monday Night Raw. I kept watching right through the Attitude Era, into Ruthless Aggression, and all the way to today's current generation. Wrestling has been a constant for me for decades, and that's ultimately what this whole project is built on.
I've been a big fan of pro wrestling since I was a kid. From the days of Hulk Hogan to Steve Austin and The Rock, and today with our Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
Outside of wrestling, I've been a developer for over 15 years and I genuinely love building new products. The Daily Smark is where my two passions meet, one of those projects I get to keep shaping and improving because I actually use it myself.
The idea came from my own need to keep track of wrestling news. I didn't want to rely on a single website's take, I wanted multiple opinions and sources in one place. So I built the thing I wished existed: a fast, curated feed that pulls from across the wrestling world, then grew it into the news, video, and podcast app it is now.
